I hesitated before taking these photos as I don't want to be 'disrespectful' but after deliberation I realised that these bones have been long dead and mourned. They are part of our history, there are no families mourning their loss now. The service to rebury them is an important part of our 'future history' (if that makes sense?!) and I feel that recording the event for future generations was the right thing to do. I feel honoured to have been a part in this process - the committal service was just lovely!
