Florida, Day 10 - Typhoon Lagoon and EpcotA lazy start to Day 10 with another trip to Typhoon Lagoon where we decided to spend most of the day, before heading to Epcot for late afternoon/ evening.
Just after arriving at Epcot, the Heaven's opened! This was the first and only rain we saw during our holiday... if nothing else, it made for some interesting reflections!
We headed to 'Journey into Imagination' which is a slow ride through the 'Imagination Institute' with Figment the dragon as a tour guide! We then entered the sensory labs where we were able to explore activities relating to the senses. It was quite enjoyable and a good way of avoiding the rain for a little while!
I was quite taken with all the lights and colours!
Still raining when we got out!
This fountain at Epcot is spectacular, it's called the 'Fountain of Nations' and every fifteen minutes, the fountain showcases water ballets. During the ballets, over two hundred shooters propel over fifty gallons of water up to one hundred and fifty feet in the air and it sounds like a fireworks display. At night it is illuminated with thousands of lights and was quite hypnotic to watch! See here for a video!
At last, the sun came out!
We had a look around the aquarium...
...before finding a spot to view the spectacular Epcot illuminations (which I really wasn't able to do justice to with these photos!)
Yet another day over... the holiday really went too fast!
