Playing with Fire!It was a practical evening at camera club this evening so a few of us headed to the local park armed with a dog lead, a whisk, wire wool, matches and a handful of sparklers... as you do! (I should add that the local constabulary had been warned that we would be doing this!). We had great fun for an hour or so playing with fire - Lou bravely flinging blazing wire wool around her head in a few different locations! First up was the band stand which made for some interesting shots... Then we tried out a darker area of the park in order to try and avoid the light pollution from nearby buildings...
Finally we moved to the playground where Lou braved standing on the top of the slide and waving the fire around. The extra height really helped to create some impressive 'firefall' patterns. I was a little too close at first...!
Finally we finished off with a brave volunteer brandishing sparklers whilst spinning round on the roundabout (don't try this at home kids!). What a great way to spend a Tuesday Evening! :)
