Autumn at Aston PotteryWhen I started setting up this website I had the grand idea that I would publish regular photo blogs but it really hasn't happened to date, I've been rubbish! I have decided to attempt to rectify this today though so here goes!... This afternoon I took a trip over to Aston Pottery to have a look at their gardens now that Autumn is upon us. It is a great place to visit as it has the most beautiful flower borders all year round and has the added bonus of a rather lovely tearoom with a great selection of cakes and refreshments! The combination of tea, cake and a wander around a garden taking photos of flowers really does hold quite an appeal to me... unsurprisingly! It really did not disappoint, the sun was shining and the garden continues to burst at the seams with colour. Set against a rather stormy looking sky it made for a great photo opportunity. I really didn't have much time to stop with my camera but I did manage to grab quite a few shots (for the photo geeks amongst you these were all taken with my Fuji X-T1 using the 16-55mm lens)
A truly stunning array of Dahlias basking in the Autumn sun!
I loved the way the sun was backlighting the flowers in places...

A rather wonderful stormy sky added to my delight!
