Waterperry GardensI have been meaning to visit Waterperry Gardens, near Oxford, for some time now, having seen photographs appear online from time to time. Yesterday I finally made it there, with fellow photo-nut (!) Lou, and have to say it was worth the wait! It was a lovely sunny Autumn afternoon and the sky was full of dramatic looking clouds. Perfect conditions photographically and somehow the rain held off, so I was able to indulge myself in taking hundreds of photos (literally!). I especially enjoyed photographing the rather wonderful reflections in the Waterlily Pool, but it was also good to give the old Nikon an airing and play around with macro shots of the great many flowers and berries in the gardens. I was rather delighted to see purple featuring so heavily in the beautiful borders there - an amazing selection of Asters providing some stunning colour!
The flowers were also proving a delight to the local insect population!
The Waterlily pond looked amazing under the dramatic skies...
There was a glorious selection of flowers to photograph...
and some lovely textures and shapes...
There were some good opportunities for black and white photographs - such a lovely quality of light!
All in all and great day out! A place I thoroughly recommend! :) Comments
