Enjoying a short stay with the in-Laws in Yorkshire and today we visited Nostell Priory. The gardens feature a large lake which provided some lovely Autumn photo opportunities for me!

Having completed a walk around the grounds and returned to our starting point, the sun then decided to put in an appearance. Needless to say that was me setting off around the grounds again with my camera! It's incredible to see how much the landscape changes when bathed in late afternoon light. The Autumn colours looked stunning reflected in the still water of the lake... seventh Heaven for me with my slight reflection obsession! :)

I did have a close encounter with a swan. He looked beautiful but I think he actually wanted to kill me! Shortly after the following pictures were taken he started to hiss, climb the bank and flap his wings at me. I bid a hasty retreat and didn't even stop for another photo of him! (I'm not that daft!)
